For Providers

When Symptoms Persist, a Broader Approach Can Help

Collaborative support for patients living with chronic pain and persistent symptoms

You want to help your patients feel better. But what happens when pain persists despite appropriate medical evaluation, multiple treatments, and ongoing efforts to find relief?

Chronic pain and other persistent symptoms can be challenging for providers and patients alike. Complex presentations, limited appointment time, incomplete relief, and uncertainty about next steps can leave both feeling frustrated or discouraged. Even with thoughtful medical care, some patients need additional support to address the nervous system, emotional experiences, stress, and life patterns that may contribute to ongoing symptoms.

I provide a complementary, evidence-informed approach to chronic symptom recovery—

working alongside medical care, not in place of it.

I welcome referrals and opportunities to connect with providers interested in expanding options for patients with chronic pain and persistent symptoms.

Provider Presentation Available

I offer concise, in-depth, interactive sessions for providers on chronic pain and other persistent symptoms. Topics include pain neuroscience, neuroplastic symptoms, and evidence-informed approaches to treating these conditions. Customizable for your team or practice.

This approach may be helpful for patients with:

Persistent or recurring pain

Widespread or musculoskeletal pain

Headaches or migraine

Chronic fatigue

IBS or other persistent symptoms

Symptoms that fluctuate

Fear of movement or reinjury

Hypervigilance toward bodily sensations

Feeling disconnected from or unable to trust your body

This work does not suggest that patients' symptoms are imaginary or "all in their heads."

All symptoms are real!

The focus is on understanding how the nervous system can become sensitized and protective, and creating opportunities for the body to experience greater safety.

I Offer the Following Services For Your Patients:

Chronic Pain Recovery

Individual psychotherapy and focused therapeutic services for adults experiencing persistent pain or other chronic symptoms, particularly when conventional treatment has provided limited relief. Treatment may incorporate:

  • Pain Reprocessing Therapy (PRT): Understanding how the brain and nervous system can contribute to persistent pain and learning skills to reduce pain-related threat and fear.

  • Somatic approaches and nervous system regulation: Developing awareness of internal experiences, reducing physiological threat responses, and building a greater sense of safety in the body.

  • Trauma-informed psychotherapy: Exploring the influence of stress, past experiences, emotional patterns, and current life circumstances on the experience of symptoms.

  • Pain neuroscience education and mind-body approaches: Helping patients understand the relationship between the brain, body, emotions, and pain while developing practical strategies for recovery.

Foundations of Pain Recovery Immersion

A focused, two-day therapeutic experience integrating pain neuroscience education, somatic awareness, symptom mapping, and pain reprocessing principles. Participants explore the relationship between symptoms, the nervous system, and life experiences while developing skills to support nervous system regulation and recovery. Designed for patients seeking a structured, immersive introduction to a broader approach to symptom recovery.

Psychedelic Therapies

Growing research is exploring the potential of psychedelic-assisted therapy to support chronic pain recovery through neuroplasticity and emotional processing. These approaches may offer complementary pathways for patients experiencing persistent symptoms.
