About

You've worked hard to find answers.

You've seen specialists, you’ve tried treatments, you’ve read the books, you’ve pushed yourself to keep going. Yet pain—or another persistent struggle—continues to shape your life in ways that feel increasingly unfamiliar. Perhaps you're beginning to wonder if healing is about more than finding the next treatment. Perhaps you're ready to understand yourself differently.

Healing happens through transformed relationships—with our Selves, our bodies, one another, and the larger mystery of life.

Healing is fundamentally a process of transforming relationships. Symptoms often arise when our relationships—with ourselves, our bodies, other people, our emotions, our past, or something larger than ourselves—have become organized around protection rather than connection.

I believe healing is not about fixing what is broken. It's about understanding the protective adaptations that have helped us survive. It's about gently cultivating the conditions in which the nervous system, body, and spirit can reconnect with their innate capacity for healing. Therapy creates conditions in which these relationships can gradually become more secure, flexible, compassionate, and life-giving.

Working With Me

Transformation is both deeply personal and profoundly relational. While no therapist, medication, or modality can do the work of healing for another person, neither are we meant to navigate life's deepest struggles alone. We are wired for connection. Throughout life, our relationships shape our nervous system, our sense of self, and our understanding of the world. It follows that many of our deepest opportunities for healing also emerge within safe, authentic relationships.

My role is not to rescue, fix, or provide answers that only you can discover. Rather, I strive to create a relationship grounded in safety, curiosity, and compassion—one that supports you in reconnecting with your own inner wisdom, resilience, and capacity for growth. Healing cannot be outsourced, but neither should it be a lonely endeavor.

Mind-Body Therapy

Healing happens when we understand the whole system.

The nervous system does not exist separately from your thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, or physical body. Chronic stress and repeated experiences of threat can alter the way the brain processes sensation, creating patterns that persist long after the original trigger has resolved.

What are Neuroplastic Symptoms?

Neuroplastic symptoms are symptoms generated or maintained by changes in the nervous system’s processing of threat and sensation. It does not mean the symptoms are imagined or all in your head. It means the nervous system has become more protective.

Because the brain and nervous system are capable of change, these patterns are not necessarily permanent.

Mind-body therapy combines education, nervous system regulation, somatic awareness, and therapeutic work to help create new patterns of safety and restore confidence in the body.

Could your symptoms be neuroplastic?

"In addition to being remarkably caring and compassionate, Carrie has amazing intuition. Her breadth of knowledge and diversity of healing approaches transcends the conventional singular “adapt and cope” modality. This has made my therapeutic experience to both rich and revealing. The path wasn’t always easy. But her depth and intellect kept me motivated and challenged. I love my better self and look forward to healthier life of self-exploration and the benefit it provides to those around me. I can’t adequately express enough gratitude for the support and guidance that Carrie has provided me."
